IDSafe Display problem

Is anyone else seeing problems with IDsafe not filling email/passwords on sites it used too and when you go try to look at the information manually in the vault the window is placed at the top of the screen where you can't see/access the information (the only work around I've found is take the browser out of maximized, reduce the size of the browser window, move it to the bottom of the screen, and then try to open the vault window from the Norton Toolbar again). I'm reporting the login failures via the IDsafe report option, but this display problem is something that I'm not sure reporting via that option is of any help.

I'm seeing this on multiple computers (Windows 8.1) and in both IE11 and Firefox.

I've attached two screenshots in PDF format (since I can't figure out how to insert a jpg ) of what I'm seeing on one particular website

I have had the same problem and the screen looks the same as in the example.  Just started this afternoon (June 26).

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I am having the same problem as in this image.  Also trouble with passwords not auto completing - had to search (manually scrolling through the logins in my vault as you can't search due to screen shooting off above as per the screen shot quoted) for Norton password and then it asked for me to use an e-mail confirmation link to open a new account.  Couldn't log into my supermarket either as password didn't fill, it did earlier today but not after a time (almost as if the vault had gone to sleep).  Frustrating because you become so dependant upon the vault/logins.

Edited to add: In settings on the Vault (where you can set the sleep time, etc) it says not 'Mozilla Firefox (default browser) not installed' when it very clearly is installed.

Perhaps this is part of the problem?

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I have the identical problem described here and shown in screen shots.  This is true on all the computers I use and have Norton 360 with Identity Safe installed and with both Firefox and IE.  Dell XPS w/ Windows 10, Dell Touchscreen 6000 w/ Windows 8.1, Microsoft Surface Pro 2 with Windows 10, Dell 8100 w/ Windows 7 Pro, and Dell D630 w/ Windows 7.

This started a couple months ago.  I can't use the local vault because of it.  It is a Royal PITA.  My Norton subscription for all these machines and several others will soon expire.  If this is not resolved, I am going to go to a less expensive product for security and just  use Lastpass or another Password safe.  This is unacceptable and especially frustrating when it's reported and not taken seriously.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I am still having this problem, only way I get around it - as the problem seems to be with search - is to click Logins instead and scroll down manually or to use the Norton IS from the Taskbar at the bottom.

Amazing that nothing's been said or done about it on this thread by anybody in the know!

FWIW ~ I run Local and don't use "View Login" <here>

maybe you see more than "drop down jump".....

Seems, to take x number of reports.....admitting, I expected more interest.  Maybe, no one uses View Login.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I suspect Norton assumes the problem has been resolved because I now only see this problem on one of my PCs and then only on random sites. It may be time to bite the bullet and contact Symantec tech support and let them see the problem happen via a remote connection.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

Well, with auto-fill and auto-submit .... View Login doesn't come into play.
I found by accident on mulit-login sites since there's a stop before login....

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I am having the same issue on my laptop since I upgraded to Windows 10.  I wish Norton would put out a patch. I have tried everything to reposition the Vault box, but it jumps off the screen and is irretrievable.  This incident occurs with the local password vault. Please advise on how to resolve as I am unable to perform password searches in the vault.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

A work around is to resize the browser window and move it to the bottom of the screen. Then the vault window will appear in the display above the browser.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

Hello

I assume you are having this problem using IE !! or Chrome since FF is decommissioned now almost. Auto fill in wouldn't be working for FF for now yet. I think it should be coming back soon since they said that part should be coming back before the end of the year.

Thanks.

Re: IDSafe Display problem

Hello Steve K

It is much cheaper if you look around for sales for Norton Security. Since you have so many computers, you could get the Premium version which is good for 10 Computers. If you have 5 computers, then you could get the Deluxe one.

Thanks.

Switched mine from 1280 x 720 to 1440 x 900. Was working with a tech from Norton's today. Just trying everything and this worked so far. Hope it works for you.

I still have this issue has anyone found the solution to this issue?

Re: IDSafe Display problem

I can't believe this issue has not been resolved.  I chatted with Norton's Experts and they wanted control of my lap top in order to verify the issue.  I don't understand why they needed control of my lap top when this is a known issue.  What is taking so long to resolve it?

User reported concerns posted to the Community are simply, user concerns posted to the Community.   Norton has not acknowledged, in this thread, that your concern is "a known issue".  Norton engineers may not be aware, may not be able to reproduce, may not _____.
