IE9 and Norton 360 ID Safe

Seems strange that ID Safe can only work with the 32bit version of IE9.

As the 64bit version of IE9 is much faster than the 32bit version, is there any prospect of this changing in the future?

Does anyone know?

Simply, the 64 bit version of IE 9 is not supported by Norton at this time and I woudl guess as long s the 32 bit version remian the default for Windows 7 (even 64 bit version), IE 9 64 bit will remain unsuppoprted.

Will it be supported in the future?  Chrome is finally supported and others want Safari to be supported - so who knows when and if?

In fact, the 64-bit version of IE9 is not only slower than the 32-bit version, it is slower than all other popular browsers.  That is because it lacks the JIT compiler that speeds up processing of JavaScript in the 32-bit IE.  Some websites that do browser comparison testing do not even include IE9 64-bit any longer because its JavaScript benchmark scores are so slow.
