Installing Norton on a computer that has anti-virus installed

I purchased a new desktop machine that has anti-virus pre-installed.

I want to move my existing unused Norton subscription to my new machine.

Will I be able to do the install or must I delete the existing anti-virus first?

Re: Installing Norton on a computer that has anti-virus installed

Hello. Personally, I would uninstall the pre-installed A/V and reboot the system. Having more than one solution can and does cause serious issues. What is the current pre-installed anti-virus solution?

Cheers

Always remove the existing antivirus first as it may interfere with the installation of the new product.  Also, check the existing product's website to see if there is a removal tool and run that if it is available.  Then install Norton.
