Installing Norton on new Lenovo PC kills all internet
I bought a new Lenovo Y900 RE last week and during setup I decided to switch from the software I've used for 7 years for various reasons to Norton. When I install the product it removes all internet access to any page due to DNS reconfiguration error. If I manually set the DNS to another (such as Google or OpenDNS) on the NIC the internet works, but my access to my router (at my 192 address) is blocked still.
Upon working with a chat support tech I was instructed to set my local network to Full Trust and reboot. Upon reboot, Chrome reloaded and the login page to my router was visible for a moment. At which point Norton finished fully loading and access was again blocked with the error:
"Your Internet access is blocked - ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED"
I've fully uninstalled and removed all Norton files three times over now and done clean reinstalls to have the same error. I can't not have access to my router for various reasons, so I need to know if there is a way to fix this or if I need to refund this product because it doesn't work and go back to the one that may or may not be a front for the Russian government but works just fine.
