Keep losing saved log-ins

I feel really foolish that I can't figure this out, but every time Norton runs a scan, I lose my saved log-ins.  For example, it'll log me out of Facebook, etc.  It only started doing this recently and I'm sure there is a simple setting that I need to revise, but I just can't seem to figure it out.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Achaser,

Which Norton product are you using and it's version .. Support > About. Also if you could clarify a bit on losing your saved logins.

Are you talking about background idle time scans, manual quick or full scans that are causing you to lose logins. Are you actually losing the passwords from your Vault - ID Safe Logins.

After a scan, you said .. For example, it'll log me out of Facebook, etc. Is this what you mean by losing your logins .. being logged out of Facebook and other sites after a scan. Are your login credentials still in your vault.

As precaution, you should keep your vault data Backed Up/Exported at regular intervals, using both the DAT and CSV formats, so as not to lose them.

If you could clarify on whether you are actually having login data being lost, or if you are being logged out of websites after a Norton scan.

In addition, are you being logged out of ID Safe because of a period of inactivity.

Example: In NIS v20 .. Vault Open > Settings > Password and Security > Automatically log out of Identity Safe if it is inactive for 15, 30 or 45 minutes. If set this way, it can be changed so as not to be logged out.

If you could clarify.

Thanks

Ed

Hi achaser

It might be the cookies?  Disable cookies from Norton scan by clicking the Norton icon, click settings, click computer, click computer scans, switch tracking cookies scan to ignore, click apply, click ok.  If this stops the problem and you’d like to keep selected cookies and delete other cookies, please repost for the information.

I clear cookies often. Favorites as well as those that I've only collected once. None of that activity has any effect on my vault and saved logins and passwords.
Please provide much more detail so that I can better understand and improve my ability to help users.

Thanks
