Re: latest versions of Chrome and Adobe Flash Player, am still getting Norton Identiy Safe Has Crashed

I am having the problem of Norton Identity Safe has crashed on every page I visit, even if I reboot computer.

I have the following versions:

Google Chrome version 32.0.1700.107 m

Norton Antivirus version 21.1.0.18

Norton Identity Safe version 2014.5.0.27

Norton Identiy Safe for Google Chrome (when you click "Extensions", this is what shows up) version 2014.7.0.26 (and it is "enabled")

Operating System is Windows XP

I have run all Live Updates for both Norton Antivirus and Norton Identity Safe.  I have closed Google Chrome and restarted it.  As soon as a page loads, the warning pops up "Norton Identity Safe has crashed".  It does this on every single page.  It does not crash on Internet Explorer (I have version IE 8) but I do not use Internet Explorer.  I use Google Chrome.  Could it be that Norton Internet Safe for Google Chrome is a higher version than Norton Identity Safe itself?  I have checked for updates and it's still crashing.

Please help!!

Thank you.

Hi,there. Often the best way to get the Toolbar features and Chrome playing nicely together, is to bring Norton Live Updates fully up to date until no more are found, and then do a full install of the new Chrome, rather than the in browser update.

They fixed it.  There is another thread about the Norton Identity Safe being broken and it's now fixed. Mine no longer crashes.  It had nothing to do with uninstalling and reinstalling anything.  They have been having issues with the toolbar the past couple of weeks but this week was the Norton Identity Safe extension crashing.  However, as I have said, the issue is fixed.  At least for me.
