Try running Autofix by clicking Support - Get Support.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Malwarebytes unable to validate digital signature

Hello

Try updating your windows root certificates and see if that fixes the problem.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.18.0.213 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

Re: Malwarebytes unable to validate digital signature

Followed your support suggestion, your solution fixed a different problem. But, this issue stills occurs even after adjusting the exclusion list in malwarebytes app to exclude source folder.

Root certificate in Windows? Looking into that one.

Re: Malwarebytes unable to validate digital signature

Followed your support suggestion about the certificate... This did not solve the problem. Although I noticed that the VeriSign coding certificate was expired on the exe. It had expired last year. Could this be the problem?

Re: Malwarebytes unable to validate digital signature

You are getting this message from MBAM Chameleon. Were you having trouble installing MBAM? The Chameleon may dig deeper into your system than is usually needed.

Does a regular MBAM scan find any errors?

As long as your PC is working properly, this should not be a problem.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Malwarebytes unable to validate digital signature

Thanks peterweb, when I do a manual scan which uses the mbam executable no errors are reported, in fact the message I am getting is not an error in the event logs, its a information message and I believe the real time protection is associated to the source exe chameleon... it is logging an event message on this file about 23 times an hour. After reviewing the certificate on the Norton executable, I found that it is out of date, expiring last November. I appreciate the time and suggestions given by the people here in the community. It just adds to the level of confidence I share about this product. The PC seems to be operating normally, just wanted to get someone's opinion ... Thanks. I will leave it open a little while longer since I am doing research on the logs.
