more to come message

going through the forums seem I can find some dating back to 2008

not sure why this problem/issue hasn't been fixed yet, oddly I found my own post on this not ago in one

today 2//6/2018 clicked Norton and when it opened it was froze ( couldn't click or do anything) with the message

more to come at top ( as seen in other post threads)

several "techs " ( calls who just hung up on me ) and 2 chat techs who didn't seem to know anything about it

Re: more to come message

forgot to mention

a restart did seem to get the message gone, but there seems to be a need for a fix as this has happened before

and yes I also have reinstalled since the first time

Re: more to come message

A system restart can fix a multitude of issues on a Windows system. Have you disabled the Windows Fast Startup feature of Win 8 or 10?   If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.

I restart after getting updates i.e. several times a day not sure what it has fixed if anything on my pc

as for this start up issue alledged fix seems that's applied to anything on here

i.e errors etc.. not fixed anything

lets review 2008 I can find mention of this on this very forum here, 9 years or so and no fix yet?

The reason you see this suggestion about turning off Fast Startup is because it is known to cause issues with many software packages, not just Norton, when the software needs to update running system files. With Fast Startup enabled, if a user is shutting down the computer at night, they might think they are actually getting a full shutdown. When in fact they do not.

If you look at many of the threads where this is suggested, you will also see that it solved the user's issue.

Re: more to come message

if you read further 3rd paragraph I believe in repeated fast start up it states restarts fix the issue

in summary

so that's a non issue

repeating same thing that doesn't apply or do anything is not a fix or help

Re: more to come message

Yes I did read the 3rd paragraph. In fact I wrote it.  But we still make the suggestion because many users are unaware of the feature or how it works. Many users are under the impression that their shutting down at night is the same as restarting.

Until you tell us your knowledge level, we have no way of knowing what you know.

Re: more to come message

I been around cmputers for 17 years and I know a few Microsoft programmers as well so I think I know what I am doing and talk about

and a restart after updates does not inflect any fast start up in fact its not a issue period
