A mountain or a mole hill?

Is this one typical case of making a mountain out of a mole hill, or is it something more serious?

All comments will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: A mountain or a mole hill?

Hi bjm,

Can you please elaborate a bit? I'm at a loss to understand your post.

Is it a mole hill or a mountain?...

Thanks

Re: A mountain or a mole hill?

Hi LinYu2,

Are you using Norton ConnectSafe? I'm asking because I experienced a similar issue some time ago with https sites & Norton ConnectSafe. It turned out to mainly affect some areas only, and I was indeed in one of those areas. This is the thread where I posted  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-connectsafe-4

Here you can also check the status of this service in your area:  https://status.norton.com/

I hope it can be of some help.

the Suspicious Website Blocked URL you offered "flightaware.com/live/flight/" is "Page Not Found" for me.  YMMV

As far as I can tell, no. But since the message seems to pop up quite erratically, as described in the thread that you pointed out (and also as I mention below) chances are that the source of the problem may reside somewhere else, probably without a "just cause"...

Even in the example that I presented in my opening message, the Web Safe Report does not specify any particular issue with the site. The report comes out clean, hence my allegory about the mole hill and the mountain.

Also, doesn't the report indicate that it is being produced by Norton Safe Web?

Actually, if I try to enter that URL without the "/" at the end (as you did) the result is "Page not found". If you add the "/", the result will be a request to enter the flight ID number. If you enter a valid flight ID number, as I tried a few times now, there is no "Suspicious Website Blocked" message anymore.

Thanks to both of you for your input.

your pic did not offer a valid flight ID number....so, I tried to reproduce, as you offered.SafeWeb for (for example) < flightaware.com/live/flight/JBU1823 > reports on
< flightaware.com >
https://safeweb.norton.com/report/show?url=https://flightaware.com/live/flight/JBU1823

Re: A mountain or a mole hill?

That's it. It would be good if more people came to this discussion and eventually offered some explanation. As it is, it seems that Norton giveth it and the same Norton taketh it... First, a scary message (the mountain...), then the contradictory report, not only completely void of any issues found but, like as if for the cherry on top of the cake, stating very conspicuously that the site is OK and SAFE!!!

OK, great!...
