NIS vs NS

What is the difference between the latest update to NIS and the new Norton Security (other than 3 licenses for NIS and 5 for NS)?

I have NIS running on 3 PCs (2 Windows 8.1s and an old Windows XP) and NS running on my new Windows 8.1 Desktop and new Windows 8.1 Laptop. The interface to both NS and NIS appear the same now since NIS updated on the 2 8.1 PCs. When my NIS subscription runs out will I have to uninstall NIS from the old Windows 8.1 PCs and install NS on them or can I just transfer them to the NS subscription via my Norton Account?

Re: NIS vs NS

Hi, sewing1243. The interface has been updated to provide uniformity across products.

You can if you wish, overinstall NS on NIS. That's what a few of us have done with no issues, as NS will remove NIS before it installs.

Chat Support can add any remaining days from your old NIS sub, once you have NS installed.  http://www.norton.com/chat
