Norton Online Backup always fails at 3.11GB out of 15.7GB. Error message is A4103. I tried rebooting; no other applications or files are open.
That error means invalid data structure or in plain English there is a damaged file in your backup set. You can try running scandisk or chkdsk on your computer to see if Windows can root it out. The error correction within the backup software is detecting the problem before it gets uploaded is why it keeps bombing at that same point.
Chkdsk found no errors. A review of the log file shows that the problem began after I purged a number of files from the online backup. The next backup failed, and all backups thereafter have failed.
That leads me to believe the purge introduced a problem with one of the catalog files while it was updating it. I can have the account's history rolled back or we can do a full purge and let you start cleanly. A full purge means your first backup would have to run again.
Please do a full purge. I would gladly start over, because backup is not working at all. Thanks so much for your help on this.
