NOBU Not Incrementally Backing Up, Using Double Space
Using NOBU for just under a year, and recently ran out of storage. Looking at backup space estimates, determined that of the 50Gb allocation, should only be using about 25GB. Support advised scrubbing account, deleting all computers and starting over, which we did, and total space was about 25GB for all 3 computers. First two backups went fine, but then started receiving W1450 resource allocation errors. Finally, 3 days ago main machine started a backup, which is still running after 3 days!
Checking online, it now shows that aobut 70% of allocated space is taken, indicating that data from primary desktop machine is being re-copied, vs. incrementally backing up, as time to do backup would indicate. See screenshot below of file sizes vs. storage used at upper right of screen.
What's up? This isn't the first time this has happened, and really don't want to continually have to scrub and start over, which defeats the purpose of paying for an automated online backup in the first place! Is Norton trying to imporve this product that seems to be causing so many problems for others as well?
