NOBU Woes

I have been using NOBU reliably for about the last 6 months. I'm backing up about 16K files and about 25 GB. Recently the backup began to fail with the error code A2203 with no data transferred. Twice it failed with a partial backup with the error code A8989. Concerned about the lack of backup I added a new computer to the backup account and began the process of backing this same computer (with a different name). After about 40 hours of backup time and 50% backup completion, this backup failed with an error code A2222. I have restarted the backup again but an now concerned that it will ever complete. Any advice/direction on how to ensure a reliable backup?

Re: NOBU Woes

Hello rdonaho,

First of all, we are sorry you are having troubles backing up your files. Lets talk about fixes to the problems. A2203 is file signature does not match this could be fixed in 1 or 2 steps. First step run checkdisk and fix disk on your computer. Once complete try to run another backup. If problem continues you can uninstall Norton Online Backup from computer, Remove computer from backup the reinstall and try again. That should fix that problem. A8989 is maintence (the server your account is attached to was being worked on). A2222 I normally on see this error when people are trying to do a new back up with 10gb or more. Fix, Instead of backing everything up at once the first time choose a few items back that up then add more to it till everything is backed up. Please keep us informed of status. If this fixes please mark as resolved
