Hello JJClark. This article shows the edge extension supports auto-fill on the Edge browser. Have you tried removing the extension, rebooting then getting a fresh copy of the extension and activate it?
I tried that. Does not work. Firefox works fine.
JJ, I have validated what you are seeing within Edge. Telling IDS to open the URL in my vault on Edge gives me this info below.
In this screenshot I opened the login from Amazon and it indeed does NOT auto-fill from the vault logins as you are seeing.
FWIW!! I also get the same responses for my account login now using IE11 which is suggesting to me that Amazon itself has changed their login experience.
The good news is that Firefox will currently autofill login credentials. Tried it again less than 30 min. and it works. Don't know how long that will last.
Have not been able to log in to ID Safe for months, Tried using support on a remote big mistake. IT power erased a lot of data. So bad had to get a new password keeper & generator company, using Microsoft Edge.

Ah yes I've been there myself. Also if you invoke Paypal as a payment method within a vendor's site it too, takes you to a split login which NIS will not complete/recognise. After posting threads, searching online relentlessly and having 2 Norton technicians take over my PC for 40 minutes only to terminate the session abruptly having made no progress, I am now shifting over to Chrome from IE11, although the NIS extension for Chrome is not so helpful as the IE version.
IE11 + NIS + Amazon/Paypal just won't cook the biscuits anymore.
