plesae can someone advise me how to install the identity safe toolbar onto firefox 19.0.2. i am so clueless and have no idea how to; my google searches have amounted to nothing.
Do you have NIS or N360 installed or are you looking to install or upgrade the stand-alone version of ID Safe? If you have NIS or N360 please mention the version. You can check that by clicking Support > About.
If you are looking to install the stand-alone version you can download it from https://identitysafe.norton.com/.
If you are looking for an update to the stand-alone version, please follow Prasanna's instructions in this post.
Let us know which version you require and we can help you further.
appreciate the reply Dave.
i have norton 360, v188.8.131.52.
Be sure you have run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Then check you have enabled the Toolbar in Firefox Add-Ons setings page.

Thanks for the information.
Did you happen to upgrade FF before receiving a patch? This can cause problems. We recommend watch for an announcement that a patch has been released before upgrading FF. You will see the new announcements at the top of the Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe board.
Please Export your ID Safe data to somewhere you can find it (if you use that feature).
To fix this you will need to uninstall Firefox and download a fresh copy from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
Uninstall N360 and download a fresh copy from Standard Edtition or from Premium Edition.
Remember to run Live Update, restarting where required, until no more updates are available.
Open FF and click the orange FF button, go to Add-ons > Extensions and make sure the two Norton extensions are enabled. Restart FF.
Let us know how you get on.
all sorted! thanks so much to both you guys for helping out.
all the best to you both.
That's great news! Can you let us know what you did as it might help others with the same problem.
