Norton Insight GUI Issue

Hello.

Selected the Norton Insight option in my Norton Security product.

The "Known Good Files" and "Known Bad Files" have numeric values below them but the "Building Reputation" is blank. There should be a numeric value below this option.

Not a major issue but if you are going to provide values then they should be present.

Have other Norton Security users got a value under "Building Reputation"?

My OS is Windows 10 Pro x64 Version: 1809 Build: 17763.348

Re: Norton Insight GUI Issue

Not sure it really matters anyway. The numbers shown under each heading on the top portion of that page is showing the files Norton knows are safe and unsafe. Nothing to do with what is on your system.

Re: Norton Insight GUI Issue

As you say, the figures show the number of good and bad files being processed by the Norton systems. I just think that if you provide the entries on the tab they should be correctly populated and not blank.

Re: Norton Insight GUI Issue

Hello.

Despite raising this issue some days ago and being told by Norton Support (via their Twitter group) that either the forum admin would contact me or Norton Support would contact me, no one has bothered!

The GUI bug I raised is still present in the new version 22.17 that was released yesterday.

Re: Norton Insight GUI Issue

Any GUI  feature that has been reported is probably not at the top of the priority list. And this issue you have reported may even turn out to be as designed.

I'm not sure that forum admins are in contact with the Twitter  support staff. And forum admins do not necessarily look at every post here.  They are more likely to notice a post about a severe issue that affects the protection provided in the AV features. We have heard that Twitter support is more responsive in relation to having actual Norton employees respond. Most posters in the forum are just users like you and I. I would try to push on Twitter to get a better response.

Re: Norton Insight GUI Issue

Hello. I do realise that this forum is composed of users such as yourself who volunteer assistance to their fellow users. It should not take over a week for Norton Support to confirm the issue but I do realise that implementing a solution may well take longer depending on the state of more urgent issues.
