Norton Password Manager

Norton Password Manager (NPM) has just caused me over 8 hours of frustration. I had been logging in to my CITI Card account for months using the user name and password stored in the NPM. Yesterday afternoon I could no longer log in. Changing my user name and password multiple times did not provide any help. I use Firefox to log in. Finally at the suggestion of CITI tech support I was able to reset my user name and password and log in using MS Edge. I then edited NPM with the new user name and password that worked in MS Edge and NPM works with Firefox again (but for how long). Twice over the last few months I was not able to log into NPM without first logging in to NORTON. Norton fixed that but after many of us had been frustrated by that change. Norton's Customer Service has been horrible with unbelievable wait times it is time for Norton to fix this or it will soon begin to lose customers!

The longer than normal wait times are due to the reduced staffing due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Twice over the last few months I was not able to log into NPM without first logging in to NORTON. 

Every so often, you will get logged out of your Norton Account in NPM. This is a security feature.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Come on Norton could hire an army to work from home! If it does not respond to our not waiting excessive wait times we will find other programs to do what we need! I do not need to spend over eight hours to get a resolution to a problem that I did not create!

What every so often I will get logged out of Norton Password Manager?? Where were we advised of that?? You have to be kidding us! What kind of a circus are you running?

It is not "every so often" as it used to be.  It is now "every time you close your browser".  What a PIA having to re-login to Norton Acct and then into NPM.

What browser are you using? I have seen other users see this with the Edge browser.

I am using Microsoft Edge. Chatted with tech support on this issue and was told it was for security purposes.  Tech suggested that I leave it (NPM and Norton Acct) open to avoid the issue.  That seems to defeat the security aspect of closing the browser after on line usage.  Not a good solution by Norton... will cause a loss of subscriptions.  Im looking for a 3rd party app that provides the ID safe feature.

Further to this comment I was using NPM to log on to Norton using a complex password generated by Norton. I do not in any way attempt to remember these complex passwords so when I get logged out of Norton I don't know what my password is to log back on to Norton!
