Norton Password Manager app keeps requiring my finger be scanned.

I use Norton Password Manager mobile.  Under app settings, my Vault is set to Auo-Lock every 2 hrs.  The problem is if I use my vault and then go back in 5 minutes later my app will have Auto-Locked so I have to use my fingerprint to unlock all over again.

What device and OS version are you using?

What version of Norton Password Manager, NPM are you using? I have ver 6.3.0.2059 installed on my Samsung tablet on Android 8.1. I do not have the fingerprint option on the tablet, but I am not being asked for a login each time I access the vault within a 2 hour period. I also tested on my iPhone that does have fingerprint access to NPM, and it also did not require constant login with the fingerprint.

Try going into Android Settings for the fingerprint feature. Disable the fingerprint for NPM and restart the device. Open NPM still without the fingerprint, and see if you are still prompted for your PIN as often as you were the  fingerprint. Then reset the fingerprint feature in Android settings and test again.

I am using NPM version 6.3.0.2072

I'm not sure how to disable the fingerprint for just one app.

I do not have an Android device with fingerprint sensor, so I cannot test. I checked my iPhone, and cannot find a way to disable the fingerprint for a specific app. So unfortunately it may be the same for Android.

Try resetting the Auto Lock setting to another value. Restart the device and then test.

If that does not help, it might be worth resetting the NPM app by clearing the app data in Android Settings. This will not affect your vault contents as they are stored online. Open Android Settings - Apps, and find the NPM app. Tap on that and scroll down to the app data button. Clear the app data. That will reset the app to a new installation condition. Restart the device, then sign into NPM again. You will have to sign into your Norton Account and then the Vault again. You will have to set up a PIN again and the fingerprint access. Then test to see how the app behaves.
