Re: Norton peek message

The Peek pop-up was fixed but the fix did not work for everybody, thus it is still being worked on, as per this post by Tony Weiss Administrator.

Hi ngresla10:

I think Tony was referring to Symantec's plans for including Norton Peek in a future release of Norton in that post.  Tony also posted <here> in that same thread that a bug fix for Norton v22.10.1.10 was released via LiveUpdate on 13-Sep-2017 to stop the Norton Peek widget from randomly appearing on the desktop and as far as I know that bug fix should work for all users.

Run a few manual LiveUpdates until no further updates are available and re-boot your computer.  If that doesn't solve the problem check to see if you have the latest PeekUI.dll v22.10.1.11 in your Norton installation folder.  It would also be helpful to know your Windows operating system and the name and version number of your Norton product (go to Help | General Information | About).

If you use the Comcast/Xfinity version of Norton called Norton Security Suite I think the widget would be labelled "Norton Peek" and not "Norton Security Suite Peek" as you stated in your original post.  However, I'm not certain the bug fix has already been pushed out to Comcast/Xfinity users since I don't see any recent comments about the Norton Peek widget in the Comcast Anti-Virus Software & Internet Security board.

Here's that file from an updated Comcast install (22.10.1.10):
