Norton Reporting Website Potentially Unsafe

Apologies if this is not posted in the correct forum, but I couldn't fine one that more aptly fit.  I have a website recently launched with GoDaddy's Website Builder (www.stevenbump.com).  Two people have reported that when they go to the site, they receive a warning of an SSL error and the site is potentially unsafe.  There is nothing with that site that I would consider non-standard. One user is using Chrome.  I'm not sure about the other user.  I believe the error is coming from Norton, but have not been able to confirm that either as I am unable to reproduce the error myself.  Is there something I need to do to "register" the site with Norton so users will not get this warning?  Thanks in advance.

Re: Norton Reporting Website Potentially Unsafe

hi SBump90

There is a procedure you need to carry out to allow Norton to rate your site as safe, I am not sufficiently knowledgeable to be able to explain it to you however, I will let another person who is to let you know how to verify your site.

I have asked for your post to be moved to another section where these matters are more easily dealt with.

The person involved usually comes online later in the day as we are based Worldwide and time zone differences come into play but she normally visits the Forum each day so she will be able to help when she comes online.

Re: Norton Reporting Website Potentially Unsafe

I just tried your site and got no warnings. So I do not think there is anything that Norton needs to do to fix this for you.

If you look at the first link that bjm_ gave, there is a warning about a possible vulnerability on the server. This has nothing to do with your site, but with Go Daddy's servers. You should contact their support people to have them check into this. You can give them the first link from bjm_'s post.

The users that did have a warning may have some other security software that looks for this kind of issue.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Norton Reporting Website Potentially Unsafe

I was able to obtain a certificate yesterday so I don't believe the site is showing any errors.  Thank you for the people who responded and helped me get it resolved.
