Norton Safe Web for Facebook Wall Scan is not working
We’ve received several reports on the community from customers experiencing problems running the Norton Safe Web Scan on Facebook. Customers are reporting that the scanner is displaying a message "Your account is not currently protected by Norton Auto-Scan", and that Norton Auto-Scan cannot be enabled. We’ve identified the cause of the issue, which are due to recent changes to Facebook Application policies, and we are working with Facebook to resolve these problems as quickly as possible. At this time we don’t have an timeframe for resolution, but once we get more information, we will share it here.
We have a few options for you while this application is being worked on:
- Current Subscribers: Enable Norton SafeWeb in Norton Security or Norton Security with Backup
- All Others: Download Norton Identity Safe (FREE) and enable Norton SafeWeb
Utilizing the Norton SafeWeb features included in Norton Security/Norton Security with Backup or Norton Identity Safe will allow you to have the same protection you get from Norton SafeWeb on Facebook, and the added benefit of websites ratings and protection across ALL websites. Not only that, you will also be able to see Norton SafeWeb ratings on your Search Results on supported search engines. This will ensure that you are able to safely browse the Internet while we work on Norton SafeWeb for Facebook.
