Norton Safe Web reports incorrect status

The Norton Security system tray icon displays a red X indicating there is a problem. When I open the desktop app it says "Internet Security At Risk" for my default browser, which is Firefox.

After clicking on "Fix Now" a webpage opens informing that "You are now protected online by Norton", but the warning does not go away and it still shows up as "Not Installed". This has been happening for a while, I simply gave up trying to fix it. Safe Web for Microsoft Edge properly reports "Installed".

I used to click on "Why fix this? -> Options -> Ignore Risk" and the system tray icon would then turn green for a period of time, but this is not happening any more. This is clearly a bug no matter how you slice it and an annoying distraction; every time I boot my computer I have to go in and double check that nothing else is wrong with Norton Security but Safe Web for Firefox.

All versions (Windows 10, Norton Security, Firefox) are the latest and greatest.

Any suggestions or a possible fix would be extremely welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you, it's an annoyance but not a show-stopper.

Funny thing, Norton Support thinks the problem lies in my systems, not on their product... :-((
