Norton Security background activities make Skype "freeze"
I use the Skype app (not the desktop version) frequently. My operating system is Windows 10 (latest version) on a "Microsoft Surface" computer with a fast Intel processor and enough RAM.
In every Skype session, the following problem occurs: Norton seems to think that no activities are going on, and it starts background work, like scanning the hard disk etc.. I see Norton starting because a message pops up in the lower right corner of the screen. For my Skype session, this leads to Skype "freezing" all the time for a couple of seconds, making it difficult to continue.
What can I do to stop Norton from starting background activities while I am using Skype?
