Norton Security Toolbar always disappears, after live updates!

This problem reoccurs after almost every time I use the Live Update, soon as it completes, my Norton Toolbar is gone from the top of the page.Of course if I do the routine to recover it, I can get it back, although to do so is a waste of time, repeated so often. Norton Support has reviewed this with me several times,I no longer bother them in recovery as I can finally get it myself.

My point is simple; if Norton is aware of this, as they obviously are, why not address the issue? It seems like they make no effort to resolve it. Since the product fails to provide the service it promises, I feel that a rebate should be offered on a subscription renewal, as I do not want to pay for something that fails so frequently.

Don't get me wrong, I love it WHEN it works, however to see it fail so regularly tells me that the product is not what it was bragged to be. This was a huge selling point when I chose Norton 360 and I am very disappointed. As mentioned, should I renew I would hope that they "make it right" with a rebate or discount.

Re: Norton Security Toolbar always disappears, after live updates!

Hello Jim Diesel

N360 is an old product now. In the sense that you can't buy it in s store any more. You can still renew it in the Norton eStore. The product has been replaced by Norton Security Premium if you use the Backup feature. It will be cheaper than renewing. It's good for up to 10 devices including, computers, laptops, tablets, Android cellphones, IOS cellphones and Mac computers.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

Re: Norton Security Toolbar always disappears, after live updates!

I see from your labels you are using Chrome browser. Next time you get an update and the toolbar 'disappears', first try clicking on the little black square Norton icon at the right of the address bar. If that does not bring back the Toolbar, try restarting your computer, in case the update needs a restart to fully complete. Even though the message in the update may say no restart required, the Product Announcements always recommend a couple of restarts.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
