Re: norton security - where is the option for items to exclude from scans?

Hi thauck and welcome!

If you are completely certain that the item or program is safe:

Open the Main UI > Settings > Antivirus > Scans and Risks > Exclusions / Low Risks

Items to Exclude from Scans > Configure [+]

  • In the next window, click Add Folders or Files.
  • In the Add Item window, browse to the item location by clicking the folder icon.
  • Select the item and click OK.
  • In the next window click Apply > OK
  • Exit

Items to Exclude from Auto-Protect, SONAR and Download Intelligence Detection > Configure[+]

  • In the next window, click Add Folders or Add Files.
  • In the Add Item window, browse to the item location by clicking the folder icon.
  • Select the item and click OK.
  • In the next window click Apply > OK
  • Exit

Hope that helps.
