Norton Toolbar and Idenity Safe

I have installed and used the Norton Toolbar and Norton Identity safe on Chrome. A week ago the toolbar and Identity Safe disappeared. I checked to confirmed that the extensions for both were enabled. I still can see the Norton Toolbar icon on the upper right corner but cannot display the toolbar.

I have another Laptop and the toolbar works properly.on it.

My Norton product is the Norton Comcast Security Suite.

Re: Norton Toolbar and Idenity Safe

If you have not already done so, try temporarily enabling "Developer mode" by selecting its check box at the top of the Chrome Extensions page.  After enabling it you will see an "Update extensions now" button at the top of your list of extensions. Be sure that all of your Norton extensions are currently enabled (checked), then click the "Update extensions now" button at the top of the list.  Wait a few moments then exit Chrome and restart it.  Let us know if these steps correct your issue.  Remember to go back into extensions and uncheck the "Developer mode" option.

Kind regards,

John

John I executed the process and went into the developers mode and "Update extensions now" button at the top of your list of extensions. I shut the browser down, restarted it and still do not see the toolbar.

Re: Norton Toolbar and Idenity Safe

Just to verify that all your Norton extensions for Chrome are up to date - here is an image showing the current versions (as of 10/9/14) ...

If one or more of the extensions appears to out of date, they can be updated by using your affeced Chrome browser to visit the extensions check site...

https://identitysafe.norton.com/client?server=1

Once there be sure to enter / select / verify the various highlighted entries, as shown...

After you've verified that all your Norton extensions for Chrome are current you also need to verify that your Norton Security Suite has been updated to v21.6 (updated on 9/30/14 for NSS) as announced by Symantec Employee Sunil_GA, here...

As noted in the Blog, this is accomplished by repeatedly running LiveUpdate until it finally reports that there is nothing left to do, as follows...

Kind regards,

John

Re: Norton Toolbar and Idenity Safe

I believe that I did everything that you had requested. When I went to the Norton site I was unsure as to what product I should select as I am using the Norton Product that I received through Comcast (Xfinity).

Just to review when I first downloaded the Norton onto my Chrome it worked perfectly and I have another PC/Laptop where it displays the toolbar as normal. I have attached a picture of my Chrome page. Maybe it will give a clue.

Thanks

Sorry, but my "ideas pool" has dried up...

You may wish to consider contacting Norton Support.

They have the ability to remote into your system and thereby "better diagnose" what's going on:
