Norton Toolbar: Configure (Chrome) -- what??

Using Windows 10, Norton Security 22.11.2.7, Chrome Version 63.0.3239.108 (64-bit), Norton Security Toolbar Extension 2017.12.0.5, and Norton Identity Safe Extension 5.1.0.80.

The two extensions I want (Norton Security Toolbar and Norton Identity Safe) are installed on Chrome (I don't want all four extensions--ONLY TWO).

But in Norton Security, Identity "You Are Protected Online" shows, "Safe Web: On," Antiphishing: On," "Identity Safe: On," and "Norton Toolbar: Configure (Chrome)".  Why does it continue to show, "Configure"?  And why can't I see the Norton Security Toolbar?

So annoying!  These two extensions are making me crazy.  I've tried disabling them, uninstalling them, reinstalling them, restarting my computer, uninstalling them again, reinstalling by clicking on Configure...  What procedure am I missing, please??

PS -- I just now (a couple minutes ago) reported this issue on the Norton Security Toolbar Extension problem form in the Google Store.  This problem has happened in the past, and seems to be happening again.  Maybe the latest Google Chrome update is to blame, I don't know...but it is within the past 48 hours.  Thanks.

Re: Norton Toolbar: Configure (Chrome) -- what??

Possibly related: Chrome doesn't seem to be shutting down properly. Two of the processes still running in Task Manager are Norton Identity Safe Extension and Norton Security Toolbar Extension. Are these issues related?--I don't know, but wanted to point it out. It still makes me believe these problems may be a result of the last Chrome update. Thanks.

Re: Norton Toolbar: Configure (Chrome) -- what??

Moderators...please move this thread and replies to the Norton Security Forum.  Apparently this is a Norton Security "Identity Safe Settings" issue; probably not something wrong with the Norton Security Toolbar or Norton Identity Safe Extensions.  (I see the Norton Secured and Norton Identity Safe icons in the upper right corner of Chrome; but apparently Norton Security doesn't realize the Extensions are installed.  Norton Security Settings still shows, "Google Chrome (default browser) : Extension not installed"...but IT IS installed.  Anyway, thanks and sorry for the trouble.  Happy Holidays.

Sorry for the issue you are facing.

Thanks for reporting this issue.

We are already aware of this behavior and we are working on it.

You can continue to use the Tool Bar and IDSafe extension you have in your machine.

You are still protected.

Re: Norton Toolbar: Configure (Chrome) -- what??

viveksu, thank you for responding.  For your information...I do now see the Norton Toolbar in Chrome again...however, the "Norton Toolbar: Configure" problem in Norton Security is still there.  For now, I will continue using the extensions as they are, and remain hopeful the problem will be fixed.  Thanks again.
