Norton Toolbar Conflict With Google Chrome

I am running Windows 10 (64 bit) and Chrome (64 bit) with the prior and latest version of Chrome I am having a problem with Norton Toolbar (part of Comcast Norton Security Suite).  When I access tv.xfinity.com to view live TV about 90% of the time when I select a program to watch I do not go to the live TV screen but only get sound of the selected channel.  If I disable the Norton Toolbar I do not have this problem, so I have to assume Norton Toolbar is causing the problem.  This problem happened before the Windows 10 anniversary update and after the update (the update caused me to reinstall the Norton Security suite).

Re: Norton Toolbar Conflict With Google Chrome

Hello Paul

Did the Anniversary Update tell you that you didn't have the latest update? I will find out if there is a new extension for Chrome update.

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

Re: Norton Toolbar Conflict With Google Chrome

I have two computers that run Windows 10 Anniversary edition.  The HP laptop had that message and I clicked on the message to "update" the Norton Security Suite (even though it was already updated and live update stated it was up to date).  After I did this I did not get any more nag messages from  Windows.  On the other computer (desktop) I had to reinstall Norton to get it working and after the reinstall I needed to apply all the updated to get it to the latest version.    Both computer have the same problem with viewing live TV using Chrome.
