Norton Toolbar for Firefox 42

I'm running Firefox 42.0; I successfully installed the patch from Live Update this morning, and am now running Norton 22.5.5.14.

The Norton Toolbar is unchanged in Firefox-- it's still what I call a "stub" with no Identity Safe/Vault access at all.  I restarted FF, then rebooted my computer (restarted).  I also ran Live Update a few more times just to make sure I wasn't missing an update.

To those who get uptight about spoiling "their" months-old thread with "off topic" posts:  the "vault issue" is still a problem for me, it's just compounded by the larger problem of Identity Safe functions not being compatible with Firefox.

If this supposed "fix" doesn't apply to Firefox, Mohan G. should've said so in the announcement.  Stop trying my patience, then thanking me for not losing it altogether.

You are quite right to point PLC in PA to those links in order that he/she has as clear as possible understanding of where we all are at with this ID Safe mess.  I'm not sure that the links would have either been helpful or welcome to the OP however.

What I object to is that Norton issue these patches without any explanation whatsoever, meaning that the user has no idea (without searching the forums) of what the patch will do.  Surely it would be simple enough to add a link to the Live Update notice to inform users of what the consequences of implementing the patch will be.  It would be then up to the user to follow the link and then decide whether or not to apply the patch.

Norton will of course trample all over that decision in due course and give you the patch whether you want it or not.  But that is life in Norton world these days!

Just an additional point.  At some stage my vault has 'lost' or deleted all my card details.  Not sure when it happened.  Anyone any ideas?

Um, since you have agreed to run Norton "as is" under Norton discretion.

Re: Norton Toolbar for Firefox 42

Hello Jim

There are many parts and functions that go along with the Identity Safe. The various parts and functions will be released as they are completed and finished with testing. Norton is in the process of working 24/7 on this project in order to get the various parts out to you. Norton is concerned about the safety of the contents of the safe so everything must work correctly and safely. They will be providing updates as the different parts warrant it. Rhonda and her Teams are very much concerned to get these parts done as quickly as possible.

Thanks.
