Norton Vulnerability Protection Update is available

Hi everyone,

As many of you have found in this thread, there was a compatibility issue between Norton Vulnerability Protection (NVP) and Firefox 22. We have released an update for this issue, and it has been distributed to customers as an Intrusion Prevention Signature (IPS) definition.

If you're running Firefox 22 and NIS/N360 20.4, but are still seeing the NVP incompatibility message, you may wish to run LiveUpdate manually to see if you received the definition. I know it was a difficult time with this imcompatibility message, and we thank you for your patience while we fixed the issue.

You have a few options for checking if your Norton Vulnerability Protection is up-to-date:

- NVP is updated through IPS definitions, which is visible in Security History. You can review the history through the Main UI > Advanced > Computer Protection: History. Search the Full History for "20130720.001".

- You can review the actual definition files to determine if you've receive the update. To find the active definitions directory (which will be in the hidden folder ProgramData), for Windows 7 go to:

C:\ProgramData\Norton\[guid]\[product version]\Definitions\IPSdefs\20130720.001\

The newest folder will be the active one. Open that folder, and check for 4 new files. These files will be version
