My Norton alerted me that I needed to run a scan. When I try to run one it tells me that it has failed. What can I do?
Which Norton product are you using?
Have you restarted your computer?
Be sure you have run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Thank you for your reply. I did try restarting it and it still wouldn't work. I reached out to Norton and they were able to fix the problem.
Can you share with us what Support did to fix the issue? This can help others with the same problem.
Yes I can. I got in contact with live chat and was connected with an agent. They was able to take control of my Norton with my permission. They ended up having to uninstall and reinstall the program. They also had to install the Norton removal tool. It took a little time and I was able to chat with the agent and watch as they fixed the problem. When they finished, my Norton security works with no problems.
