Norton/Win 10/Microsoft Store

I just spoke to Microsoft as the icon for the Microsoft Store on the bottom is no longer working. I get the below message. They mentioned it was a known Norton problem. Can someone from Norton confirm this is true or not? I don't believe them :)

Hi Jimbo40,

Not from Norton but I'm having no problems launching Store from the taskbar.

You might want to check your firewall settings>Program Control for Store C:\Program Files\Windows Apps\MicrosoftWindowsStore_ to see if it's being allowed.

Win 10 Home x64, NS 22.5.5.15, AMD A6-5400K APU and 6GB RAM

When Windows 10 was first issued many users were reporting problems with Windows Mail which was found to be a problem with the Windows Store, I am having difficulties with the store on one of my devices and not the other both have exactly the same settings.

Microsoft issued an update to fix the problem with Mail but this caused different problems for some users with the Store, there have been no Windows 10 updates since this happened so I guess they are still working on fixing it.

Hello Jimbo

Is your Fast Startup turned off? I have found out over the years, if something has gone wrong with my computer, try a restart to see if that fixes it. If a restart doesn't fix it, then there is an issue. If there is an update to a program, even if it says no restart is necessary, I found that it doesn't hurt to do one any way.
