IS not entering pw for AMAZON and PAYPAL

IdSafe is no longer entering passwords for Amazon and Paypal; both of these have switched to a 2 phase login recently (past few months); first you enter your un (or email) .. IdSafe does this sometimes but not always. Then a second page loads asking for the PW; this second page does NOT have the un anywhere on it. IdSafe seems unable to cope with this as it seems set up to only autofill sites where both the un and PW are entered together. This means that I am thrown back to the bad old days where I have to remember multiple passwords :(

I am more perturbed that perhaps this is an ant-hack move by Amazon and Paypal so that other sites may change similarly - then I really am stuffed.

I am surprised that this is not a common issue but my searches found nothing, which is odd .. maybe it’s my system/PC

I am running win7. I am a UK user.

I believe I have the latest version of IdSafe. I can find no version number for IdSafe per se, but my NIS version is 22.14.0.54

This is the only issue that I have had with NIS for a number of years (which is why I recommend it) - everything else in the suite is working fine.

Anyone able to help please?

Thanks

Phil

Re: IS not entering pw for AMAZON and PAYPAL

Amazon been like this for a while. Keeps user name but, as you say, you have to manually type in password. Have another site like that but can't remember which. Logging into PayPay from Paypal site fills both in OK https://www.paypal.com/signin?country.x=GB&locale.x=en_GB. Based in UK also. With Amazon, after a period of non-use, have to start from scratch by filling in user name and then next page requests password.

Re: IS not entering pw for AMAZON and PAYPAL

If a web site changes their login page or methodology, Norton needs to be informed of the changes.

From your browser, click on the ID Safe icon at the right of the browser address bar. Then be sure the vault is open. Then click the icon again, then on the 3 dots at the bottom right. Then click on Feedback and submit the web site information.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

yeah I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! Like you if going direct to paypal no problem .. it's when I am going there from a purchase that it does the 2 page thing - annoying. The reply below suggest informing Norton .. I'll do that.

thanks

Sorry I can't find the ID safe icon that you refer to.. I have tried everything but can find no way to feed back to Norton (other than report it as a dangerous website .. which is not my problem here)

Thanks for any help

Sorry I can't find the ID safe icon that you refer to..

Sorry. I changed my macro to describe the process from the new browser extensions for FireFox, Edge, and Chrome.

Thanks to mgirons for passing on the instructions for IE.
