Is NS still OK with Windows 10 Version 1511 (10586.3)?

Just a quick question before I update Win 10.

Someone on another forum said that NS was deactivated when they did the new update to Win10 1511 and they could not get it back. Has anyone updated and can I assume his was not normal for this large update?

If it ain't broke, fix it 'til it is!

No problem on my two machines.

I wonder if their copy of Norton was legit?  Doesn't MS say on Win10 they can check if software isn't licensed and remove it at will?

I upgraded to Windows 10 Build 1511 10586 yesterday and NIS continues to work fine. Didn't notice any "visible' changes in Win'10 though.

I too just got my 1511 update, and so far everything is working as it did before the update.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Yes, I am OK too. It removed CPU-Z but I installed it again.

OH, is it OK to post on this forum without saying anything about TOOLBAR not working in Firefox any more.

I think that's preferred.

Works fine here on build 10586.3. No difference to report between 10240 and 10586.3

Apparently this is a known to Microsoft  "situation" not restricted to Norton -- they say that the update procedure is supposed to uninstall programs and then reinstall them after updating Windows .... but sometimes it fails to reinstall ....

If RESTARTING  (not rebooting which is a hybrid start unless you disabled fast boot) doesn't produce you Norton I suggest just reinstalling it -- it should not use up an activation but if it should Norton OnLine CHAT support can fix that I'm sure.
