NS system tray icon right click disable antivirus auto-protect grayed out

Yeah that is a new one. I went to right click the tray icon. And it was completely grayed out. Could not disable it. Never seen it before. Must be a rare bug that I just happen to run into at the time? I ran "get support" and everything checked out green. I done a reboot and its back to normal now.

Did you by any chance have a false positive on a downloaded file, that you restored after it was quarantined at some point before you noticed this?

I had this happen to me once - or twice actually - during Beta, and it was suggested that NS was waiting for a reboot in order to 'clean up' the files it had removed - even though I had restored the file myself. I commented at the time that there was no notification from NS that a reboot was required, though I think there should have been. As it turns out, after some digging when it happened the second time, I did find a notice in History that NS needed a reboot. This doesn't seem to happen every time you restore a file. I restored several more files during Beta that didn't cause this to happen. I thought it might have been fixed.

Or, it may have been something completely different in your case...

None of that happened to me. So, it looks like this might be a different case. Something that just randomly happens by mistake.
