NSP Download data/file size and d'load to USB Drive?

Soon I will need to reinstall Norton Security Premium on to my notebook PC as the notebook needs to have a part and component replaced by the manufacturer and they will erase the contents of the hard drive. What is the total download data/file size for Norton Security Premium? Can it be downloaded on to a USB Drive and installed on a computer without any internet connection? The only internet access I have at home and with me, is a pre paid account on my mobile phone. The local library only allows free wi-fi for up to 500 MB or 4 hours. Internet Cafes are now rare in the local community. They only have desktop computers. Mainly for gamers.

Hi, I downloaded that link to my mobile phone. However I cannot open it.

It will not open on a mobile phone, because it is a Windows application that will not run on a mobile operating system. The download I just did was about 175 MB. So you should be able to get it at the library.

Are you trying to install Norton on your phone? If so, go to the app store for that device, Android or IOS, and look for Norton Mobile Security. That is what you would install on a mobile.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Hi software-user:

One minor warning.  If you copy this offline Norton installer from a USB stick and run it on your notebook after your hard drive is reformatted, the first LiveUpdate you run after the installation will likely start to download the latest full set of virus definitions (approx. 70 to 75 MB for Norton Security v22.11 products).

If that file download size is also an issue with your pre-paid home internet connection, take your re-formatted notebook to the local library and do the entire Norton installation there.  If that isn't possible, you will also have to copy the offline installer for the latest full virus definition set for your Norton product and Win 10 OS <here> [e.g. 20171212-001-core3sdsg2v5i64.exe updated 12-Dec-2017 for NS Premium v22.11 (a.k.a Norton Security with Backup or NSBU) and a 64-bit OS] to your USB drive and follow the instructions in the support article Update the Virus Definition Files Using Intelligent Updater after you reinstall Norton Security Premium (but before you run your first LiveUpdate over your home internet connection) to patch your virus definitions.
