NTB Graphics Missing, Utilising 'No Resource URI Leak' Firefox.

ITMA.
Installed FF Extension 'No Resource URI Leak'. It takes out the 'glossy bits' of the NTB.
Any ideas. CHEERS !

Hello

I don't think that the current Toolbar for FF is ready to accept FF extensions. This is just my opinion

Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.2.47 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.

I don't understand what is meant by "ready to accept."  The current Norton Toolbar has co-existed with other Firefox add-ons with no issues for awhile.  It may be that No Resource URI Leak either breaks something needed by the Norton Toolbar, or otherwise interferes with the toolbar.  It is not at all unusual for an extension to cause conflicts with other add-ons or cause unexpected behaviors in Firefox itself.  I recently updated Firefox and suddenly could not shutdown the browser using the exit button in the hamburger icon dropdown menu.  Turned out to be an issue with an installed add-on.

This extension hides private and important metadata of your browser, usually obtainable using resource:// URIs, against the Web. You should have it installed if you use many extensions, because having many extensions means having many tracking and fingerprinting vectors. Also, Web sites can generally probe Firefox for installed extensions in many cases without this. The extension makes that privacy threat less effective. It may break some extensions which depend on this leak.

I'm using Canvas Defender and don't have this problem.

Hi Krusty13.
Does 'Canvas Defender' show clear; when 'BrowserLeaks', 'Firefox Resources Reader' is run ?

Thanks all, for the feed back.

If you mean a blank page, then no.

I admit I don't really know how to interpret the results.

Does that help?

Hi Krusty13.
Your reply is too deep for me.
I'm seeing ordinary page layout in both;
BrowserLeaks Firefox Resources Reader & Canvas Fingerprinting.
I'm giving
'Canvas Defender' a work out.
NTB fires-up in the prescribed manner.
Any way of inhibiting the annoying 'Canvas Defender' info-box on FF fire-up ?

Hi photo308,

No, not with the current version but the next version is supposed to have that feature.  Also, Canvas Defender generates a fake Canvas Fingerprint but currently you need to manually change it to a new one.  The next version is supposed to have a setting to generate a new one each time you start FF.

There is a Chrome version also if that interests you.

Cheers.
