Obnoxious pop ups from Norton Security

Hi,

Just installed Norton Security on a few PC's, and barely a few hours go by when I get an obnoxious pop up advertising the Norton Core router.

Why obnoxious?

Well let's first ask why the antivirus I just paid for is advertising anything at all.

I'd tolerate an occasional popup ad from Avast, because it's free.

But not from a paid product. That's obnoxious.

And to add insult to injury, when you click on "Don't show again"? It's a dead link. It doesn't do anything. The ad just stays there. On every PC I installed it on.

Now that's really in your face obnoxious.

Please stop that, before I switch to something else.

Thank you.

Re: Obnoxious pop ups from Norton Security

Hello

Please go to the Main Page of the Program

Settings>Administrative Settings>scroll almost all the way down to Special Offer Notifications and turn that to Off and don't forget Apply.

Please do this with a Windows Administrative account.

Thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

Is there a command line tool that can be used to change settings in Norton Security?

Hello

Sorry, I don't know command lines. Maybe some one else will answer that question for you.

Thanks.

Re: Obnoxious pop ups from Norton Security

Norton is designed for home users so they can set and forget the product. Command line operation is not needed.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
