patch.js

Hello.

Today I used NPE to scan my pc and I found "dangerous" file "patch.js". I tried to find some informations about it but found only "firefox patch.js" but the file I have is windows/temp/patch.js.

I know that NPE is more for experienced people and I shouldn't remove anything so fast.

Is it a dangerous file?

Maybe it's just windows upated but I have windows update off.

Re: patch.js

Hello,

Are you indeed using Fire Fox as your browser? Looking at the web this is indeed a malicious file which should be deleted.

Re: patch.js

No I have chrome only and to be honest the only website I check is youtube so I probably never visit any "suspicious" website

Re: patch.js

Ahh ok. Allow NPE to remove the file and then reboot. That should take care of things for you. Cheers!!
