Hi- is there a way to permanently hide the toolbar in Safari? All other View> Hide... functions stay in effect next time I launch Safari except Norton which needs to be re-hidden time and again. Thanks.
Hi, davidchicago. Welcome. I don't run Safari and can't find a clear screenshot, but if it has a Menu Bar Like IE or Firefox, in the View tab they show Toolbars. When you click on those, you have the option to uncheck the toolbar.
This is an Apple free house, so a Mac user might have some info for you.
Thanks, I'll try there.
Nope- same result. Norton toolbar has to be manually hidden each time Safari's launched. All other toolbars in OS X once hidden, stay hidden, which is in keeping with Mac's usual concept of not having to repeat actions. So this leads me to believe that Norton designers had to go to the extra effort to actually prevent OS X from retaining the "hidden" preference so the Norton toolbar would re-lauch each time. Either way- very frustrating.
Hi, David. I found this info. Don't know if it will work for you.
