Probelm Reported / No Problem

For the last couple of days one of the seven systems I have Norton on has reported "Issue Found" in My Devices. No indication of what the "issue" is just the report. However the Norton interface on that system does not report an issue.I have updated that system several times, run a scan, run the optimizer etc and the report still remains. This is over the course of a couple of days. I realize "My Devices" takes a while to update but there's little sense in providing a feature that is inaccurate, unreliable and provides incomplete information.

What is shown if you click on Issue Found, or the three dots at the bottom of your image?

Nothing useful. I see no way to find out what the "issue" is.......(clicking on issue found simply takes me to the subscription page. I have 251 days left). Obviously those were the first things I tried.......

Sorry, I should have asked you to click on the circle above the device name. That should open a window with more information.

On the device involved, open Norton Security and click on Settings - Administrative Settings, and scroll down to Remote Management. Be sure that setting is turned on. It is possible that some update may have changed that setting.

If it is already on, go to the web site again and delete the problem device. Then go back to the device and open Norton and click on Help - Subscription Status to sync the device to the Norton servers. Then, after a little while, you can check the web page again.

Re: Probelm Reported / No Problem

I've clicked everywhere, right click left click doesn't matter. The point being there should be some information of what the "issue" is as the warning itself is useless especially when it's not reflected on the Norton interface on that system. I'm not going to jump through a bunch of hoops to fix it. This was more a heads up for Norton support.

When I click around the device name....

I get this screen....Which shows the issue that is being reported about that device.

Issues with reporting on the MyDevices page have been reported here for a long time now, since Norton changed to this new Norton Account web site.

We are not sure anyone is listening to the users as we report issues with the site.

Re: Probelm Reported / No Problem

Oh well if nobody is listening then there's no point in reporting issues with the site. I'll keep that in mind when it comes time to renew.

Re: Probelm Reported / No Problem

Just remember that you are paying for the protection of your devices. As long as they are showing correct activation information, you are protected, regardless of what the My Devices page says. The My Subscriptions page is the one that has always been correct.

Just remember that we're paying for the entire service. If a feature is offered then it should work, simple as that. If they don't care about one part of the service they offer how do you know for sure they care about other parts like protection against malware ? Loyalty is good, blind loyalty is not.

Re: Probelm Reported / No Problem

Hi @Marc Hoppe 55,

To find the device issue status on Norton Management portal you need to click on the device icon as suggested by forum guru "peterweb". Have you tried different browser to access Norton Account page and see if that works to check the status? Which browser are you using now?

Re: Probelm Reported / No Problem

The first things I tried before posting here were to click the Device Icon and the "Issue Found" text and the three small dots shown in the screenshot above. All that did was to take me to the subscription page where it showed it was active with 251 days left. No indication whatsoever what the "issue" could be. I just checked My Devices and the "Issue Found" no longer shows for that system. I haven't even booted that system today and I did nothing that I hadn't done the previous two days so apparently the "My Devices" page is very slow to update but again I never did receive any indication either from there or from the Norton interface on the actual device what the issue was.Just a generic "issue found" message with no indication what the issue was or how to fix it. I think the "My Devices" service needs some work.....
