Problems between Norton and Thunderbird?

Hi folks. At the moment I face the problem, that my Mozilla Thunderbird program does not show new mail. I have more than one Mailadress and if I go directly to the providers, I can read them - so they are there and the problem does not lie there. I can'T find any problems or bugs with my Thunderbird, so the next idea is, that there might be a problem between Norton and Thunderbird or the relatively freshly installed win 10. I really hope that I just have to make a few accomodations, but I didn't find any for myself. Is anybody here able to help?

I have no issues with Thunderbird 45.2 with Win 10 Pro and Norton Security Premium v 22.7.076.

You say you recently upgraded to Win 10. What do you mean by " the relatively freshly installed win 10 "? Was it a clean install or an upgrade?

When did the problem with Thunderbird start? Can you think of any other updates you may have done.

If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

When you manually check for new mail do you get a message from TB about a problem connecting?  If so,what does it say?
