Really getting tired of Norton

Identity Safe causes long lockups in Chrome and Firefox before crashing ==> EVERY DAY

Online Vault will say "Opening" and STAY on "Opening" until I have to reboot my computer ==> At least once a week

Drop Down Box of username choices does not appear sometimes when it should (And on websites that it usually works on)

Tell the stupid thing not to autofill a page, and it does so anyway.

Try and paste a new password into the password box and norton changes it back again (This one caused me to be locked out of a very important account at a critical time)

I'm so tired of battling this tool. Really fed up with it. Really annoyed that I let Norton automatically renew. I should have seen the light and gotten out while I could.

Hi,

If you had an auto renew you aren't using the free identity safe product. Which version of what product are you running? Also, is your ooperating system current and which one of those are you running?

I'll grant you that the identity safe has some problems but everything you describe may not be Norton's fault.

Keep us posted

Re: Really getting tired of Norton

I'm using Norton 360 21.1.0.18

I have Windows 7 SP1, and it is regularly updated.

Thanks for responding. I did try to find a way to delete my post, as I was somewhat irritated when I wrote it.  (in case you could not tell)

Hi Brett,

Once you make a post, only the Norton staff can delete it. You can however Edit your post. You only have 60 minutes to do so. Within' that time frame, go back to the post you wish to edit. In the upper right hand corner click 'Options' .. in the drop down menu click 'Edit Reply'.

Your post will open for you to edit. Make the changes and re-post it. If the 'Edit Reply' is not in the drop down menu, then the hour time limit has passed for you to edit.

Re: Really getting tired of Norton

I also am completed frustrated with the latest version of Norton Identity Safe.  The product did not appear to be ready for rollout and the lack of organization options infuriated me.  I have now made the switch to LastPass, a free password manager that seems to be much more friendly.  With over 100 log ins I have saved for work and double that for personal, I needed better organization and access options.  So far, LastPass is 100 times better than the lasted identity safe.
