Reloading software: purchased multi device package had to scrub one

I bought the multi-device package and have installed 4 out of 5. The Norton security did not resolve the problem I had on one of them. I just bought two brand new computers (one has the problem) soooo I am going to just reset the factory settings. Best solution for now. My question is: will Norton remember this computer from prior install and just let me reinstall? Do I remove this computer from the Norton site? Will I still be able to use all 5 of my device installs??? Please help me!!!

Re: Reloading software: purchased multi device package had to scrub one

Hi, you will have to download the preactivated copy from manage.norton.com and then do the factory reset. In any case you encounter error when activating , you may have to remove the extra or duplicate device from the same site and then try activating again. After factory restore, make sure you remove the security software which (other than Norton, if present) was given along with the machine. You will have to use the corresponding removal tool. Please update us regarding this...

Re: Reloading software: purchased multi device package had to scrub one

So, I saw on another post...just log into my Norton account and trash can the device (computer I had to factory restore). I did so! I then restored the new computer.

Made Norton the home page to avoid ANY problems for that short period of time in transition to Norton. Even went to the download page. Norton showed only 3 devices not 4 which was of concern to me in the first place. So, the advice to just trash can the device (computer I had to factory restore) WORKED!!

I then deleted/removed the security software included with the machine, went back to the Norton page and downloaded the Norton software and now all is right in the world again! Whoop! New computer beautiful and running ever so well! Thank you Norton Forum peeps!
