Renewal- different pricing on websites

My Norton security delux is shortly due for renewal. On renewal option it gives a pricing of Rs. 2199.00. On http://www.nortonsecurityonline.com/ns-in/ the price is Rs. 1299.00 and on https://in.norton.com/products?SID=%5E10%5EinS%5ENorton+Security+2017+in... the price is Rs. 1399.00. I am not sure if there is any difference in product since name and other details are same. Could someone explain reasons for substantially different pricing on renewal and different website of norton. It may be noted that I am not comparing with other retailers like Amazon where price is still lower for various products.

Re: Renewal- different pricing on websites

Renewal prices directly with Norton are usually more expensive than shopping around for a less expensive price for a new purchase.

Just be sure when you are comparing prices that you are looking at the same product version. In your case, be sure the product description is Norton Security Deluxe.

Re: Renewal- different pricing on websites

So if I go for renewal or auto renewal I pay 57% higher price than Norton direct and 69% higher than Authorised Partner price. This does not justify auto renewal or renewal.

This is why we suggest shopping around from reputable dealers.

Auto renewal is the price you pay for convenience.

Re: Renewal- different pricing on websites

Purchased online and updated my product key. It may be noted that Norton does not add balance days available in present license i.e. I had 28 days balance but on renewal I got subscription only for 366 days without adding 28 days. So it is useless to take advance action and wait till last day. But all this not expected from a company like Norton! By the way after my mail Norton Associate has increased price to be at par with Norton Web i.e. 1399.

Re: Renewal- different pricing on websites

You should be able to get the remaining days added to your account. Just contact Norton Support and ask them to do it for you.   www.norton.com/contactcs

Also be sure you ask the agent to disable the auto renewal, or you will be charged for the subscription you no longer have. And you will have to go back to support again to straighten it out.
