Renewal with New Key - It's So Easy

Today I renewed my NS Premium with a new key on my 3 devices.

I signed in to my Norton Account (web page has a new look) and on each device that was listed I entered the new key.

All my systems were online and it updated the key on each device.

If a system is not online it will check it later.

Works great if you have family members on your account and you can't get physical access.

All done from your Norton Account.

Like the old song - It's So Easy

I thought you could always do that.

Maybe so but last year I went from NIS to NS Premium and did an install on each system.

This time it's the same product so first time I tried it and didn't know how it worked.

Just passing it on for others that may not know.

I went through the same procedure a couple of years ago but I didn't know about the machine being offline and checking later.  That's cool!

Did you need to uninstall old regular NS before installing the premium NS?  Other members, how would the new registration key work if changing from Norton 360 to Norton Security?  Does the subscription time continue unchanged or does the subscription to N360 stop as soon as you install and register (but when/how to put in reg key?)  the Norton Security?

Re: Renewal with New Key - It's So Easy

The procedure in this thread is for a new key on the same product you have. I had NS Premium already and new key was NS Premium.

If you buy a key for a different product (changing from NIS or 360 to NS} then you have to go to the device and install the new product.

In either case the new subscription will start with the 1st install. Any remaining days on old subscription will not auto carry over. You can contact Norton Chat and they will transfer remaining  days to new subscription.
