Replacing expiring Product Key with new Product Key

I first used the "Call Norton Support" option. My case number was ########. I called the phone number provided and waited for 20 minutes. I gave up and came here. My issue was:

"I bought a new one year subscription of 5-devices, Norton Security Deluxe. My current subscription ends in 4 days. How do I enter my new Product Key? Is there an easy way?? Sorry to go dumb on you."

I do not want to have to download Norton on all five devices.

Thank you.

Re: Replacing expiring Product Key with new Product Key

Be sure you note this line in the instructions.

If you use a product key, the remaining days with your current subscription do not get added to the subscription associated with the new key.

So wait until only one day left so you do not lose subscription time.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Replacing expiring Product Key with new Product Key

Thank you, so much. Just what I needed. Made all the difference in the world.

One more question: When I want to *merely* update the subscription on a different computer that *already* has Norton on it, it seems that I must download an executable file to that computer. But, all I want to do is to extend the subscription for an additional year. Am I missing something???

Re: Replacing expiring Product Key with new Product Key

Once you have the new product key registered and activated on one system, just go to the other systems and open Norton and click on Help - Subscription Status. That should sync your device with the Norton servers and show the new time remaining.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
