Resetting the Windows Archive Bit

I am running NovaStor Backup for PC. Updated to the latest version and since then when I verify the backup files I get a large number of error messages. The NovaStor support has suggested that a virus program stops NovaStor of resetting the Windows Archive Bit. All I require is a Yes or No if Norton PC Anti Virus stops NBK from resetting this windows archive bit. If it does what has to be done to allow NBK to reset this Bit.

Re: Resetting the Windows Archive Bit

Hi,GStringer. I can't say if Norton is causing this issue, but you can go to the Scans and Risks area in Settings, and exclude the program in question so Norton stops scanning it.

You should also do a full restart in Win 10, as this is needed for Norton and others to correctly run.

GStringer

Are you able to determine what files NovaStor is not able to change the archive bit for?

It seems to me, that if NovaStor was working, then you updated NovaStor it stopped working correctly, it would be a NovaStor issue. Did you point this fact out to NovaStor when you contacted them?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
