Security History - Blocked File

Hi All,

I'm currently having a breakdown here.

I've just wiped my PC clean, and slowly installing my bits and bobs, mainly FSX.

I've just installed some third party software, and I expected the certain .exe to be excluded, however I normally am able to just click "restore" and all is well. This time there's no "restore" button. If anyone could point me into the correct direction that would be most appreciated. I'm sure for those of you who use FSX know what a pain it is to install, hence the meltdown over here! :)

Matt.

Re: Security History - Blocked File

Hi, I looked into options and more options, but it only showed "exclude". However what was very odd is that I noticed I had Norton Internet Security installed, not Norton Security. When I looked at my account page, I now have two licences. Norton Internet Security with 366 days remaining, and Norton Security with 188 days remaining. I have no idea where the Internet Security come from, as I thought Norton migrated everything to just "Security Suites"? Anyway, I removed the Internet Security version, and installed the Security version and the option to restore is now there. Both programs look identical, both are version 22, however one has Internet in the name the other doesn't. This must be some sort of glitch on the Symantec site? Matt.

Odd. You can always check with Support if you need to clarify the Subscription issue.

Re: Security History - Blocked File

This file was blocked not quarantined. Usually files treated in this context are being downloaded -- they never actually made it to your computer so no backup was made to quarantine. Can you pick more options and show details about this one? Can you also select copy to clipboard and paste that in here?

And to go back to the two product subscriptions. When you contact Support ask them to add the Norton Internet Security subscription time to the newer Norton Security time.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
