Small bug with Norton's GUI

Hello, I recently notice a small bug with GUI of Norton Security after apply v22.7.1 patch, well after click on Settings you can notice that help icon isn't fully drawn... However if you click any section with main NS window like Scans, History, LiveUpdate etc. it seems to be just fine...

I'm currently using the newest version of NS 22.7.1.32 and Windows 10 and yes I reinstalled NS and it doesn't fix this issue.

Can anyone confirm the same bug or its just my installation?

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

Hi got3n,

I see the same thing as in your 1st image on all Settings page headers on my NS Premium on Win 10 AV and on Comcast's Norton Security Suite on WIN 7.

It appears to a glitch in the code for all the versions of 22.7.1.32.

Anyone else feel free to comment.

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

Well, I'm sure that this small issue won't take more time than like 1 minute to fix, so Norton team should covered this pretty soon, probably with the next big patch release.

Wow interesting, so now it looks like this issue doesn't effect all users.

What about the other users?

Hello

Are you referring to the ? in a little box? That brings you to a Help notice on the Web.

Thanks.

Hello,

After updated my Norton Security Premium to the newest version 22.8.0.50 this issue still persist, just hope this bug won't be overlooked.

Of course, I know this issue isn't a problem at all but you know... you always want your product to be perfect in every way, right?

This is likely not very high on the priority list. One small part of a graphical item that does not affect the operation of the product may not even get looked at until the next major release.

I would not worry about it as long as your product is working correctly.

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

Yes, Of course I understand that it's not kind of issue that has to be solved as soon as possible, but on the other hand, how much time this thing should take to fix? 30 seconds? 1 minute? I'm pretty sure it won't take more time than that.

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

But would you really want the programmers to be pulled from fixing all the other problems you see reported here? Plus any developments of future updates.

It may only take 1 or two minutes to fix, but you first have to find it in the code, and then the best programming practices demand you test any changes before release to ensure no typos etc. So total time is not exactly a 1 or 2 minutes.

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

@peterweb I totally agree. As I said before I don't want to make with this issue a big deal and set a high priority level to respond... I just hope this bug won't be miss and overlooked, that's all.

Re: Small bug with Norton's GUI

I followed the initial thread entry to see what the glitch was, and I have it too with NS 22.8.0.50. The top and sides of the ? box are drawn but the bottom is missing. I am at native resolution on my monitor and 100% text sizing so those are unlikely factors.

More importantly, the Support link by clicking on the ? functions as expected.

Conclusion: I can live with the "issue."
